Symposium
Session S-07 - Teaching for Engagement and Success: Innovative Pedagogy and Assessment in STEM Post-Secondary Education
As instructors and institutions seek to improve student learning, well-being, motivation, and retention in STEM post-secondary education, there is a need for evidence-based approaches to pedagogy and assessment. This symposium brings together three diverse yet complementary presentations to highlight how approaches like student-faculty research partnerships, flipped classrooms, and competency-based education are promising to address these persistent challenges. By discussing both research findings and practical implications, it aims to foster discussion and will interest instructors teaching post-secondary STEM courses.
