Symposium
Session S-08 - Teaching Computer Science in the Age of Generative AI: What Still Matters?
June 01, 2026 | 1:30 - 2:45 PM
Room: E-2022
Generative AI is reshaping Computer Science education faster than programs can adapt. Students now use AI to complete work that once developed core skills, while industry expectations shift toward new competencies. This panel brings together CEGEP instructors to discuss what they are observing in their classrooms, how they are responding, and which fundamentals remain essential. Rather than presenting finished solutions, the session invites collective reflection and practical exchange across disciplines facing similar challenges.
